pinipig
What is Pinipig?
Pinipig is young rice that’s been pounded to flakes. When toasted, they become sort of like rice crispies, and you can add them as a topping or ingredient of sweet treats and desserts.
The green pinipig is what’s used for the distinctively colored kalamay of certain provinces like Pampanga.
