Use this walis tingting on the bare ground in the yard… Sometimes it can be used to sweep away floodwaters from inside the house or at least on the veranda. (Use your imagination for these other use cases. The possibilities are endless!)
Walis tingting can also be used by Filipino parents for hitting their naughty children.
To sweep dust and other small particles off smooth surfaces, particularly the polished floors inside the house or the balcony, use the other Philippine broom called walis tambo.

The Tagalog word tingting can be used to refer to a very thin person as well. 🙂
