What is a tabò?
Tabò is the iconic Filipino dipper used for scooping water out of a timba (bucket).
It’s usually a very simple plastic dipper, and yet mainstream Americans don’t have this in their bathrooms!
To compare, every real Filipino has a tabo in the bathroom! It’s usually floating in a bucket of water.
Of course the tabo‘s use is not limited to the bathroom for bringing up water to pour over your head or your feet… or to clean the you-know-what part of your body. You may also see a tabo outdoors used in gardening or even laundry.
