“Saba” is a fat variety of banana that’s widely used in Philippine cuisine. It’s often boiled and eaten plainly or with brown sugar as a snack. It’s also the variety used in banana-cue (banana barbecue). This product is the equivalent of what’s called “minatamis na saba” or “minatamis na saging” which literally means sweetened banana.
