This product is made in the Philippines.
PALITAW are flat oval pieces of rice-flour patties that are traditionally cooked by making them float in a pot full of boiling water. After removing from and draining off the water, the cooked patties are then thickly coated with shredded coconut and topped with sesame seeds and white sugar.
The flour used is glutinous rice that’s called malagkit (literally meaning “sticky”).
