Sagana brand of Barquiron with Cashew Nuts
Barkiron na may dinurog na kasuy!
What is a barquiron?
It’s a somewhat newfangled creation (less than a hundred years old definitely) that’s a combination of barquillos and polvoron!
Barquillos are hollow rolled wafer sticks. Polvoron is a powdery treat that made of milk and sugar.
Basically, some ingenious person in the Visayas region decided to fill up the hollowness of barquillos with polvoron and came up with this barquiron creation!
Twice as messy to eat as eating barquillos and polvoron separately. And that’s part of the fun! 🙂
