Among many competitors in the tight market, including the decades-old Ligo brand, 555 received a much-needed shot in the arm in 2016 by having the huge AlDub celebrity Maine Mendoza be a paid endorser. Sales reportedly rose by at least 50 percent due to the loyal patronage of AlDub fans who express their support by buying products endorsed by Yaya Dub.
